Schuyler: I could see a dark haired Taylor Momsen as my Schuyler. She plays the outwardly-indifferent outcast role in Gossip Girl well, and I think she looks the part too with the heart-shaped face and slight figure.
Oliver: I don’t know…maybe Israel Broussard? The Bling Ring hasn’t come out yet, but he kind of looks like what I imagined for Ollie. Or maybe Alden Ehrenreich (I haven’t seen Beautiful Creatures either though). Sorry, I’m really drawing a blank here, I can’t think of anyone I feel looks the part…
Jack: I know everyone says Alex Pettyfer, but he looks the part for me! I don’t know anything of his acting, but yeah, his pretty boy features and blond hair do it for me. He might be a little old for the part though, idk.
Bliss: Holland Roden is the only young redhead actress that comes to mind…although Bliss is tall and willowy so it’s not a perfect match.
Dylan: asdfgh I guess I just don’t know of many male actors, because I can’t really think of anyone I can see as Dylan either. :/ Someone who can simultaneously look sweet and like a bad boy, smirk and all.
Mimi: This response is solely out of my bias for Mimi as my favorite character: I don’t think any young actress I’ve encountered fits my expectations for her. I think there’s a certain grace she has to embody that a lot of Hollywood actresses don’t really exude these days. Anybody can play a spoiled vampy princess, but a big part of Mimi’s character is her poise, which is pretty hard to portray in acting.
Kingsley: lol can I choose Baptiste Giabiconi for this role even though he’s a model? His Karl Lagerfeld ads just look so good for Kingsley! In terms of real actors though…I’ve used Max Irons once or twice in graphics and he’s the closest I can think of in terms of appearance, but the vibe I get from him isn’t quite Kingsley…not the way Giabiconi is for me haha.
Seriously though, I didn’t do a very good job responding to this…please, let me know who you’d cast :)
sure thing! I just added one that I made a looong time ago to the queue and I’ll work on more within a week since I’m out of town at the moment. and Zac was not what I imagined for Kingsley—I’ve got a certain French model in mind ever since I made this blog ;)
I remember seeing a few RP blogs around last year, but I’m not sure if they’re still around anymore. :/
